The information that is optional for filling in the provided slots are the following: your company logo, your company tag line, the nature or the type of the business, the city and the phone number from where the company operates. Furthermore, the website address, your company's regular full and part time working hours, the clock in and out grace period that your company allows, the regular working hours per week in your company, and the payroll cut off date of the same. Providing all of the information mentioned in this paragraph is optional, and would be filled in to the available slots at your company's discretion.
To locate the General Settings Category, first locate the 'Settings' tab, which is always directly beneath the 'Dashboard' tab, on the right-hand column of Tabs, on any page. The location of the General Setting sub-tab can be seen in the upper left corner of image 1; it is the first sub-tab of the settings Sub-category.

To Fill Optional Information slots:
i) Regular Working Hours (Full-Time) - This field represents the standard number of hours in each working day in your company. Hours worked beyond the figure entered are considered overtime and the system will calculate any accrued overtime from this given, Regular Working Hours (Full-Time), figure.
ii) Regular Working Hours (Part-Time) - This field represents the standard number of hours in each working day allotted to Part-Time workers in your company. It cannot be the same, or a larger figure than the Regular Working Hours (Full Time) figure, is.
**It is important to note, here, that all leave days are calculated based on the Regular Working hours. For example, if you enter a figure of 9 hours as the Regular Working Hours for your company as opposed to 8 hours, then the VIHRMS system will calculate assigned Holidays, Sick days and Vacation days, at a rate of 9 hours. Therefore, entering the correct figure for each information slot, is imperative.

Grace Period - This is the time which is usually given to employees when they either clock in or clock out around a specific turn of, or portion, of an hour. For example, if an employee clocks in at 8:05 a.m. or 8:12 a.m., but the scheduled time of commencement of work is 8:00am, your company can establish a grace period, that will allow for the employee, arriving at, for instance, the times mentioned above, to be registered as arriving at 8:00 am. Therefore the grace period can be set to revolve around any quantity of time, such as 15 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour after the allotted time of work commencement. This feature can be enabled or disabled according to your company policy.

Class 1 businesses have a revenue of $150,000.00 per annum or less, while class two business revenue exceeds that figure; Your Business Class determines your tax rate with Inland Revenue and can lead to severe penalties if the wrong class is chosen.
